The Teddyklinik in Darmstadt is an initiative that helps children overcome their fear of doctor visits by inviting them to bring their stuffed animals for treatment. For a few days, medical students transform the clinic into a “teddy hospital,” where young visitors accompany their plush toys through various stations.  From registration and X-rays to bandaging and pretend surgery. By engaging with familiar companions in a safe, friendly environment, children learn about medical procedures and build confidence, making future interactions with healthcare professionals less intimidating.
